i'm already looking for good non-widescreen monitors for quite some time
they are meant to be used left and right of my crt for some triple monitor setup
the problem is they're all kinda old and reviews sucked at that time

please post if you know a monitor that has the following:
- 4:3 or 5:4 ratio
- 19" or bigger
- 0-1 frames of input lag
- dvi (for scaling)

nice to have: ips/pva, over 60hz, uniform backlight
irrelevant: reaction time

the only monitor i found is the viewsonic vx922
but its very hard to get and only tn

I would like to be the 1st to simple say... Replace your CRT

any source for it having low input lag?
can't find anything with google

And you're not going to. 4:3's are meant for getting real work done not gaming so they were never built with low input lag or response time in mind.

If you need that res and aspect ratio you are going to have to take a chance with Dell 2007 or NEC 2090uxi and see if it works for you.

bought a viewsonic vx922 as well as a vp930 yesterday
will report back on the vp930's real input lag when it arrives

the vp930 has 1 frame input lag
tested with refreshratemultitool against a crt
there were no 0 or 2 frames - it was always 1 frame
