There are no reviews for the Samsung S23A7750D/950D yet.

Just wanted to say thanks NCX for your monitor reviews it is was most helpful.

I just got my BenQ XL2420TX yesterday. After watching your video review of it and the Asus VG236H I was torn between those two monitors but I went with the BenQ since the Asus is almost a 2 year old monitor, pretty hard for me to justify buying older technology.

This is my first BenQ product and I am very impressed with the overall quality. After adjusting the super nova brightness out of the box I think it gives a great picture and it is a nice bump up in desktop size from my 22" LG L227WTG-PF.

The bump up to 120hz is really noticeable and the main reason in buying it. I primarily play Battlefield and other FPS and its just much more fluid now.

Again thanks NCX for taking time to do excellent reviews.

Hi NCX,
First of al great reviews man. I am realy curious about your review from the S23A700D I saw that you also had the problem with the backlight on the bottom something around 1cm thick. My question was if you would know by any chance how common that is.

I returned my screen and will be able to get a new 1 in 2 weeks but, do all S23A700D have it or do just some have that issue and are there others without the Bleed problem?

Yet again very nice reviews very detailed.

Good work!

Side-note: the TX version is supposedly "fixed" now. There was syncing issues with the wireless 3d emitter. If you bought one previous to the fix, you still have to mail the monitor itself back in to get it fixed. This only effects you if you play in 3d However. Likely if you have bought the TX you bought it for the 3D, soo ya kind of a bummer.

Does not effect the version NCX has listed here though (XL2420T).

Thanks for all the positive comments every one :D

After reading a few forums it seems that most people get 700D's with light bleeding.

How dare you take advantage of Amazon to bring us a fantastic review of this monitor! ;)

Did you really abuse Amazon's return policy to rent a monitor?

Yup :D I wasn't satisfied with it any way. Most of the displays I've reviewed have been purchased+returned within the stores 2 week open box return window. I've had to pay 15% re-stocking fees twice from NCIX

As far as I know, one needs press credentials and their own site to get companies to loan out displays.

Thats sort of a low ball move, dude. That return policy is for people who need it and not so you can rent a displays that Amazon has to pay for.

I hope that you become a business owner one day. ;)

Purchasing something with the intent of returning it is fraud btw.

Yeah, because NCIX should have to pay so that you can play around with their monitor.

and when websites start having stricter return policies don't wonder why. This sort of thing is exactly what happened with Newegg.

Uch, Okay thanks. I hope the new one that i will get in 10 days will be without any bleeding.. kinda being stuck with a ATI card if you want 3D meh.

Oh no, the poor ginormous corporation  Cry me a river.

Most of the displays have been returned because I wasn't satisfied, which was the case with both displays I had to pay re-stocking fees @ NCIX .

I hope someone does that you on the forums one day. That would be different, huh?

Shit like that is exactly why Newegg is much stricter with their return policy.

Huh?

The real reason NewEgg likely changed their return policy is because they didn't want to deal with all the people returning displays due to the poor quality control. +10 for consumers who return items they are unhappy with.

Even if I had wanted to keep the BenQ I would have exchanged it because it had a large dark brightness stripe near the bottom, which would cost Amazon even more money.

The only fraud being committed is the by the big companies who pay their employees low wages while the high ups make enough in a year to live happily ever after. It's really sad that you want to defend them.

If corporations would stop fucking people over with fake reaction time numbers, fake contrast numbers, fake viewing angel numbers and so one then they would have A LOT less returns.

So.. if i really understand, I dont care about the colours, i should get the asus VG236H since im an hardcore FPS players? tell me if im wrong or if there is something new on the market.

thanks :)

No, if you don't care about colours and want a matte 120hz display and can't wait for the new Asus VG24EQ 144hz display, or don't want the Asus VG278HE, get the BenQ.

If you want a glossy 120hz display without ghosting problems get the Asus VG236H or Samsung Series 7/9 120hz 23." If you want a matte 120-144hz display with good colours and no ghosting issues get the Asus VG278HE.

thanks for the info ! i dont care if its matte or glossy. i mean my CRT was glossy. And i hate the fact that the BenQ still got ghosting problem

EDIT: any IPS/PLS panel now with no ghosting and low input lag?
