I've been waiting a long time for a new PC build. The last few months has felt like years alone waiting for Ivy Bridge and more importantly this Asus board. So with newegg selling the Asus it was time to score all the parts. At the bottom of this post are video reviews and tests:
1. The Parts - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtM4Vlynk2k
More recently upgraded to an H80
2. The Build - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYIAT-yShLE
3. Missing Drivers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3iGODN3ZdI
4. The BIOS and Warm Boot Time - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_Qkj70gZto
5. Cold Boot - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqacQKpPmDU
6. Full Suite of Overclocking Tests - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVq4oYMUfnI
Case:
SilverStone SG08
Motherboard:
Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe
Processor:
Ivy Bridge Core i5-3570K
RAM
G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1600
GPU:
EVGA 570 HD 2560 DDR5:
SSD:
Crucial M4 256GB Sata III
HD1:
500GB Seagate Momentus 7200 2.5
HD2:
Hitachi 3TB
Cooling:
Corsair H60 (More recently upgraded to an H80 due to a defective unit)
This will mainly be an HTPC and some Diablo III action along with an attempt at a hackintosh. I'll be sure to do a full review and write up on the build.
Good times ahead.
