I picked up this board over the weekend in hopes to convert my power hungry freenas server over to something less than 100w. This little guy did the trick, sitting around 58w with 6x1tb drives spinning... but I'm having an issue with the pci-e slot picking up my quad port nic.
I've tried both intel & hp variations of x4 pci-e cards, the board just wont recognize them no matter what I do (I know they are good cards, I was able to get them to work in my other nas box). Anyone know if there's something funky with the IRQs or how I can get the cards to recognize?
Tried forcing integrated graphics & disabled the onboard realtek lan. The best I get is eth0 on the card will light up on a live link but not function. eth1-3 remain unlit even when changing cables around.
I put a support ticket in with ASUS, updated the bios etc. Figured I'd throw a post up here to see if anyone else has had these issues?
