I had the same problem with a Hero Alpha Z170. I too rma'd it but the replacement did the same thing. What temporarily fixed it for me is that I had to disable the WiFi in bios, boot into Windows then restart, re-enable it in the bios and Windows would finally pick it back up. Got tired of...
Did this ever work? I'm wondering the same thing. I'm looking at the new Gigabyte GA-X99P Sli board and I'll never fill up all of those 16x slots with video cards. Was hoping to add a couple of pce-i ms ssds on there.
NIB, Got a Nowinstock email this morning and ordered it before I had a chance to chicken out. I also got a notice this weekend about the ASUS store having it but I didn't care for the ASUS ordering system so I passed on them.
Yeah, no kidding. I figured I would try the panel lottery but the only place I found that has an estimated ship date was Fry's Electronics. Yesterday they had it listed with an estimated ship date of Feb 8th. Today of course that date has changed to Feb 9th. They probably have no clue either.
Sorry to resurrect an older thread but I had a question about this board.
Does anyone know if Gigabyte is pulling the Gaming 7? Amazon and NewEgg don't seem to be carrying it anymore except for 3rd party sellers.
It's got all the features I want but it seems awful early for stores to not...
Kept looking at it at Amazon but found it hard to pull that $799 trigger. Don't have to worry about it now because Amazon isn't accepting any more orders.
Visa card dodged the bullet for now.
I wish they would take the time to put the actual patch description in windows update. "Install this update to resolve issues in Windows" doesn't tell me squat. Having to click on the 'more information' link for every patch is a bit ridiculous - especially for the bazillion patches they've...
Thanks Guys. Appreciate all the feed back and especially from the rep - that goes a long way.
Tired of getting seemingly getting burnt on PC hardware these days (Samsung EVO 840 is the current culprit), so I'm having a tendency to read everything lately and buy nothing which sucks.
Was looking to see if Corsair got their led problems sorted out out yet so I went to the K70 reviews to see what the scoop was.
Something looks stinky to me. Four of the last five reviews are real short and titled 'Five Stars'. Ugh. Looks gamed to me.
Can't freaking trust anyone any more.
I see a pattern here. This is going to be like the Korean monitors soon. Instead of Perfect Pixel it will be Without Whine™ and cost us another $30 a card or something to be certified.
For what's it's worth I got mine from the 2nd batch NewEgg got in stock. Just ran all of 3DMark and I didn't hear anything with my ear right next to the card. Not pushing the card yet, but fingers crossed it remains quiet.
I had an issue just like this with Metro. I think I ended up reinstalling the Nvidia physx driver. The fix made no sense to me, but it did clear it up. I had horrible lag until I did that.
I was getting bored by my current rig and so I was looking at the Asus Z97 deluxe. Not bad I thought, then the ASRock "torpedo" nuked my plans. I'm not all that hot on the ASRock boards but there's no way I'd buy a different board that doesn't have the x4 M.2 socket.
Oh well, I guess I'm just...
Dang. I've been wanting to play both of these. Amazon has both for $12.50 today - I was about ready to buy, then I see this.
Decisions, decisions. Drat.
I was having issues with these drivers as well. I disabled the nvidia streamer service and my rig seems to have calmed down. I also disabled the nvidia virutal audio service - don't know what that one does. These drivers are starting to get real bloated.
"We also observed some coil whine coming from the card..."
I didn't need to read that. No way I'm knowingly walking into that mess. Coil whine drives me insane.
You think they would have eliminated this already.
Yep, the onboard hdmi does do audio. I had to install the onboard sound drivers to get it to work though even though I use a xfi titanium. I haven't played around with the various sound formats it outputs yet though.
Like a lot of you on here I repair a lot of friend's and family's machines. I'm getting to the point now if I have to look at their XP machine I just groan. Thank god they're finally starting to not show up anymore. Work is another matter - XP everywhere because they're too cheap to upgrade...
I have no idea, but they are cheap - I'll give them that. They obviously don't spend any money on their website. I'm going to be ordering one more single in a couple of weeks so I guess I'll find out then.
This place sells the generic arms. I've got a couple of single arm versions and they're solid. I've never ordered from these guys and their website is kind of odd, but these suckers are hard to find.

I think I lucked out on this one timing wise. I've only bought the memory because I was buying stuff only on sale. Looks like I'll be getting a new video card and monitor before a new mb and cpu now. This stinks for everyone involved no doubt. Kudos for Gary from Asus on the forums though...
I especially like this part of the press release ...
"Intel believes that consumers can continue to use their systems with confidence, while working with their computer manufacturer for a permanent solution."
Hmm, how about "No I can't."
I figured with all of the time they've been working on these that this stuff would have been worked out. I guess I figured wrong. think I just postponed my rig update again.
