    Logitech G502 and G-Hub

I have been using a Razer mouse for about a year. It always showed up in device manager under is own name and had a Razer driver. Just bought a Logitech mouse and it shows up in device manager as a HID-Compliant mouse using the old Microsoft driver. Then they have G-Hub software that appears...

Is it possible to disable the LED fan lighting on the Fractal Design Meshify 2 LED case? Is there any other LED lighting in the case itself? Thanks

    Too much thermal paste

I have never removed a CPU with this much paste around the edges. What are the chances that it can actually get into the socket or pins? Maybe better off leaving it in place and just wiping off as much paste as possible?

    Too much thermal paste

This is an i5-9600K and board that is for sale. Obviously way to much thermal paste was used. Would you be concerned about paste seeping into the socket and stay away from it? Thanks

MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4/WIFI Owners Thread

So, are you better off staying on ver 10 for now? Are most of you staying with the drivers installed by Windows 11 or upgrading to all the ones on the MSI site? Any problems with any of the ones at MSI?

MSI Z690 Edge Wifi DDR4 driver question.

Windows 11 installed all its own drivers and they appear to be working. There are 8 drivers available on the MSI site: Bluetooth, Network, Chipset, RST, Audio etc. They all look to be from the manufacturers like Realtek and Intel. The dates appear to be much newer than the Microsoft ones. Is it...

What Z690 board are you eyeing?

My board came with the current BIOS already installed. Windows 11 installed without problems. Not even LAN driver issues. The Noctua had excellent clearance. I also used the Vengeance RAM but two 32's. I did not car for the little plastic M.2 retainers. The 3200 RAM was running at 2133. Enabling...

Correct M2 slot for Samsung 870 Evo ?

In my MSI MSI MPG Z690 Edge WIFI DDR4 the first M2 slot is PCIe 4 from the CPU. The other three are from the chipset. In the manual there is this notation: ⚠ Important ∙ Intel® RST only supports PCIe M.2 SSD with UEFI ROM. ∙ M2_2~4 support Intel® Optane™ Memory. Do not really understand what...

ROG Strix Z690A Gaming Wifi D4 Questions

I just received my MSI MPG Z690 Edge WIFI DDR4. The heat sinks are substantial but there is more than adequate clearance for the NH-D15. Hard to believe that Asus missed it so badly!

ROG Strix Z690A Gaming Wifi D4 Questions

I am looking at pics of both the MSI edge that is compatible with the Noctua and the Strix. The clearance looks almost the same. Is it because the Strix heat sinks are taller? I would love to see where it hits but that would require buying the board.

    MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 Review ?

The bad audio on the Tuf Gaming could have been a fluke. It was horrible frequency response, crosstalk and buzzing on the mic input. This seems to be more than just the codec. He should have requested a second board to make sure it was not a fluke. Could have used it with a sound card but that's...

    MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 Review ?

Thanks. I wanted the ROG Strix Z690 Gaming Wifi D4 but it is not compatible with decent Air Coolers. Second choice was the Tuf Gaming Z690 Plus Wifi D4 but reviews really slammed the audio performance. Did not want Gigabyte due to the Realtek LAN chip so that left the two MSI boards. I ordered...

    MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 Review ?

So far I have heard complaints about the screws being low quality and have a tendency to break and the sockets are delicate and break easily. Also, it does not come with the LAN driver installed which could be a pain. Other than that most reviews were positive. Amazon and Newegg type reviews...

    Z690 DDR4 Speed Question

For most of the Z690 DDR4 motherboards 3200 is listed as the highest speed memory without overclocking. Some reviews have said that the faster memory actually hurts performance? What is the ideal memory for Z690 DDR4 boards? 5200(OC) / 4800(OC)/ 4600(OC)/ 4400(OC)/ 4000(OC)/3200(JEDEC)/...

ROG Strix Z690A Gaming Wifi D4 Questions

Does anyone have the ROG Strix Z690A Gaming Wifi D4 ? There are a lot of covers and heat sinks. Are they all metal? The Noctua NH-D15 is incompatible because of the covers around the IO panel. Is any of that plastic? Do you see any way to make the Noctua fit?

What Z690 board are you eyeing?

The only motherboard I had that failed was a Gigabyte. The power section actually flamed out. Asus has always been solid but maybe their quality is suffering while the others are improving? I cannot believe they dropped the ball on such basic items.

What Z690 board are you eyeing?

I wanted to build a Z690 DDR4 air cooled system. My first choice for a board was Asus. Unfortunately Asus made a major misstep and failed to accommodate the leading Air Coolers in their Strix line. The Noctua NH-D15 and Dark Rock Pro are incompatible because of the gaudy heat sinks and covers...
