I replaced my DFGT with a G27, and the G27 smashes the DFGT. The FFB is heavier and smoother, the paddle shifters are very good, and the pedals are lightyears better. I wouldn't recommend a DFGT to my worst enemy after owning a G27.

GSC is in another league, but the cars in the rf1 demo suck and did nothing to compel me any further, granted the mods are more than likely very good, but I had RACE07/GTR EVO etc, so just stuck with that. I didn't know who Neils H was, and didn't know he made some mods for rf1, had I known...

rf1 demo sux with a wheel, not sure about a KB.

Now that I've got all the extra tracks, I uninstalled netkar pro:eek:

Hi talk2troy. I'm an Australian living in Australia, but I'm working over the weekends atm, so wouldn't be able to have much of a fiddle till Monday.

GSC 2012 wins racing game of the year for the second time at Racedepartment forums. F1 2012 was a close 2nd.

Whilst I could be wrong, I think AC is going to exceed my expectations....here's why... 1....car list.....30+ cars on day one+ DLC+ modders and includes 5 Ferrari's. The driving model should be exceptional as Kunos developed both Netkar pro and Ferrari Virtual Academy, and the youtube...

Come on guys, get a G27, GSC 2012 and dl some of these awesome tracks, it's only $20!! Obviously G27 will work well with other games, but only PC sims work at their peak, ie, you'll get first rate FFB and steering precision with most PC sims, but multiplatform racing games usually have a variety...

Brands Hatch is another beauty as well, it really feels like you're driving there:):D

And FFB, so I hope you have/get a G27 or better:D That said, FFB's been good since GTR EVO 2008, and it's better with a high torque wheel like T500/CSRe etc, but even a G27 will give you a upper body workout.

Assetto Corso is a racing simulator, a racing simulator takes time to develop the QUALITY of physics and FFB that race sim fans expect, as such, there's NEVER going to be a proper sim that has hundreds of cars, as there's only a handful of people in the world...

30-35 cars on day one, with more cars and tracks via DLC+modders. This game has so much potential to be no1 it's not funny.

I'll second that. Excellent physics. Excellent FFB, especially weight transfer. Very good sounds as well. 3D car modelling is also excellent.

Ferrari onboard now. Car list is growing, and some additional tracks will be added via DLC+modders. Assetto Corso could destroy rf2 and iracing.

I own a Panasonic Plasma and Samsung HDTV, I told a friend to buy a Samsung, but because he got what he thought was a good deal on a SONY HDTV, he ended up with a real turd compared to my older TV's. Samsung is the new Sony anyway.

NVegas HC+VHard makes the game worlds contents, perks, and money far more important than playing on normal or lower, so for those who're about to start again/first time play, this is the best way to experience all the game has to offer, but I'm still pissed they excluded Bobbleheads!!!!

GTA looks like ass compared to either Metro or Crysis1 maxed though. When I see Metro or Crysis maxed and compare to other games I have, I question whether they're demanding because of poor coding or because of the extreme image quality.

Well if BF3 looks better than Metro, colour me impressed. Metro's resolution, lighting and water reflections are extremely impressive, and it's probably why it wants a 7950 or better.

You forgot the crappy gun mechanics, gun sounds, dialogue boxes, PITA inventory, questionable hit detection etc. Metro is the only game with great GFX, but it's game and gunplay is as boring as hell.

Dling now, but FV has excellent diff levels and far better weapons and gunplay than FO3. Both games along with Skyrim are epic with or without mods.
