they make good products but so does ASUS GIGABYTE etc and EVGA is overly expensive-sometimes it justifies to pay a premium for a better product but I think in recent times that difference has been increasing for EVGA-doesnt make much sense now.
You can now goto shaw website and monitor your internet usage and see how you have been doing over last year or so. That should give you an idea. I am on extremem debating getting warp and I am pretty heavy netflix user. My max usage has been about 40G , X trememe has cap at 100G and I ve...
use mem ok switch to set timing-also make sure memory is seated well on the one end where it doesnt click in-physcially try to pull it out from that end. What graphics card r u using?
dont change timings in bios-when you have the option of mem ok! switch-that selects the most optimum settings-once you are up and running then you can tweak to your heart's content.
Have you tried building the new board outside the box with just bare minimum connections ?
Also are you using...
pop in an old pci nic or get one for like5-10$ that would rule out whther its yr motherboard or outside of yr motherboard
I have flawless working p8p67 pro that i OC yesterday to 4.8 ghz then toned it down to 4.5ghz just on air cooling.
My windows dvd was corrupt-tried burning .iso file off it and it failed many times. Finally got an iso file off a torrent used my current windows key and it worked.
Why not order from ++++.com they ll pricematch it for you too :) good customer service too. If they dont show in stock (at ++++) you can get in maybe2-5 days-thats how I got mine about a week back
The other thing you might verify is that the connection to on board USB is for the lowest number available-like on my Pro board some people had problems if they connected to port labelled 13-14 instaed of connecting to ports 9-10. Just to rule out anything. And make sure thepower and reset...
if you find a resolution please post. My thinking is that a USB port is shorting out-once it shorts out you dont get a problem( or at least see it) but after some time the connection is re established-overnight-then it shorts out again. Seems more like a hardware problem but in any case try...
might be a BIOS issue but when you already have everything in hand might as well build the system then wait for RMA and buy another and build another-for me it was easy since I needed to get another card anyways.
What I was trying to say is its issue with ASUS mb not with ATI card since the...
Unplug the case connectors for the USB and if you got any other USB connectors you got in box with your mother board-I d do them one at a time to see if one of them is shorting or creating a power surge.
If that doesnt work then try disabling them in device manager. See if that works...
Guys just wanted to share with you my new build and headaches with windows.

the problem might be your ati card +i had problem with my working ati 4650 and changed it to gtx 460 and problem solved-try borrowing a nvidia card from someone. I wouldnt suggest getting a cheaper (like $20) card to test it out cause you might run into other problems.
Been trying to...
did you figure out what was causing it? I get same problem but after a while windows says something about files being corrupt etc.
Going to buy another SATA dvd burner
i had the same problem switched from 4650 ati to a nvidia 460 gtx since I needed a new card anyways and poof! its gone. Happy camper now. Make sure your 8 pin connector is connected at top of the board.
the CPU light came on for me too but only once - re seated the CPU and sink, connected ATX power and power on and it was there again and i was #$%@ ing ASUS just when I realised i forgot the 8 pin connector at top of board-connected that and it went away. :) Now having problems installing...
