This is from an AMD fan boy, you will probably get a little better performance with an I5 than the AMD fx 8350 but not much. I prefer AMD because it usually a little cheaper than Intel , for comparable performance...........it always depends on what you want to do with it ;)
My question is, with SLI do you need matching cards. I have a MSI 4gig gtx 680 card and was wondering if I could match it with a 2 gig card. I'm more familiar with AMD crossfire than SLI
For the amount of working that you were saying I would check geeks.com for referb computer. You can pick up some cheap debranded or just referbed Dells and HP's
It almost sounds like, the Ram you bought was at a lower voltage that the board put out and fried all the ram..............the other thing is maybe the mosfets have let loose on the mother board I had that happen just recently on a MSI 990fx board with military class parts
I personally have an AMD 8150 and noticed that the 990fx chip-set works better with just 2 sticks of memory in the mother board. If you really need 16 gig of memory and like g.skill go with this

I have a WD wd20ears 2T drive that I broke off the sata connector and was wondering, if it is possible to replace the PCB board on the HD and recover the data on the drive.
first off, I was only running 1.44 volts to the cpu. Yeah I know it was a little high but the cpu isn't a good OC er had to run at 1.42 just to get it prime95 stable. I did have any other voltages changed on the motherboard.............As for pictures I would love to post some but all I have is...
Well I'm having a bad day, today while OC'ing my 8120. The darn mother board's power mosfets decided to catch fire, don't know if I toasted the cpu or not. But I did get the cpu to 4.2 Ghz before it went *poof*
AMD fx 8120 @ 4.0 stable, at least it was:D
MSI 990fxa-gd80 *poof*
16 gig...
Also you can look under the AMD CCC video driver to under scan the picture to fit. I have a similar problem, with my HD TV, but it would under scan instead. It was the driver causing the problem.
Have any of you had this problem, I have a LG 10x blue ray burner that has all of a sudden stop burning blue rays and DL dvd's. it will read any disc but won't burn
AMD FX 8120
MSI 990fxa-gd80
16g g.skill ripjaws 1333 ram
2 XFX 6950 crossfire
2 WD 2T 5400 rpm drives
WD 160g Raptor 10000...
The safest way to do this is to make a restore point and then unistall the drivers you have also using "Driver Sweeper" to clean any left over drivers to interfere. Then install the standard AMD drivers. This way if the AMD drivers give you problems, You can restore back to what you have now.
The G35's are a nice set of headphones but a little pricey for me I've got a pair of eDimensional Audio FX pro 5.1 I've had for a couple of years. They are not being made any more but you can find them for around $40 US on the net. They also have base force feedback so ya really an feel the base
Well it's always preferred to reinstall an OS or taking a hard drive and just switching it out. For one thing you will need the drivers for the new server. I'm not familiar with CentOS though
Well I've bought several LCD screens for various laptops on eBay, including Dells. You can call Dell and ask for the part to be sent to you, I think. Never dealt with Dell support though.
Guys, I have an interesting problem, I just got an AMD X2 BE 5000+ so I could do some minor OCing on my Mo Bo, but when installed and running @ 16x200 in bios cpu-z says that it's still running at 12x200@2600 mhz. I am confused with this< I thought the chip was muli unlocked. I have: 5000+...
