Thanks for the tips Donuts! I'm leaning towards Cosmology now. Do you guys think it'd play nice at 7 threads on an 2600K with 8gb of ram? Also, if i were to pause it mid solution does it free up the ram? I typically pause it to play an hour or two of games then resume the "solve".

Assuming you have the same issue I did, you have to physically go in and change the preferences on the yoyo@home website. it defaults to your name or something like that. At least it did for me. Doing so wont affect your points total as it somehow knows you are you still.

My i7-2600k at 4.7GHz running 6/8 threads is getting about 8kppd while im using it to play and host a minecraft server. I have a 100% dedicated Q6600 at 2.8Ghz hasnt turned in any units yet, but i'd guess upwards of 3k ppd. Shouldnt be terribly hard to manage 100k in 30 days.
