I haven't folded in ages, just recently finished a 2500K build and today installed FAH on it, using the "FAH GPU Tracker V2" to install the proper clients.
I'm wondering if mine is working properly, as the SMP client is only showing an estimated 5068 PPD after running for 4 hours or so. Is...
I was almost surprised, but I didn't have a single issue with my build (P8P67/2500K/8GB G-Skill RAM). First boot and it started up fine, quite a relief after not touching the inside of a PC other than a graphics card upgrade for over 3 years.
If you don't care about SLI, you could just get the regular P8P67. I just received mine today from xpcgear. It's not even a rebadged gen 1 board, but a full version 1.02 with B3 printed on the box (no stickers). :D
Very nice clocks. I was able to grab one of the GD65s at Fry's today, even though I've been waiting on the ASUS ones to show up. This is nice to see. :)
Frys in San Diego, CA had no ASUS boards. Just two MSI models (GD65 and... G45 I think?). Three MSI P67-GD65 left after I grabbed mine for $180, has a $15 mail in rebate which basically just pays for sales tax. Rebate expires today. Going to give ASUS a few more days to show up, if it doesn't...
If you're planning on getting any of these boards, I'd act fast. The Deluxe was in stock about an hour ago, and then out of stock again within 5 minutes. Missed my chance. :(
There's numerous ways to confirm your board is a B3, including in the BIOS and through CPU-Z. See here:

Wow, this is surprising. I know BC2 is heavily CPU reliant, but this is something else. I can't wait to get the last of my Sandy Bridge parts in. Going from a Core 2 Duo @ 3.2GHz to a i5-2500K overclocked to who knows what yet. :D
Yeah, great for winter. Move it to the left side of your desk for summer months! :D
In all seriousness, does the PSU really put out much heat (especially when it's sucking air in from outside the case)? The exhaust from mine always feels cool compared to my case fans, but maybe it's just...
I'm looking at switching my Core 2 Duo system up to an i5-2500K and the best looking motherboard for the price looks to be the Asus P8P67-M Pro. It's only $5 more than the P8P67 LE, but gives me the option of running 2 graphics cards at 8x, rather than just one at 16x. Given that I'm using a...
I have the same motherboard. Any graphics card will be compatible to the best of my knowledge (you could put a Radeon 6990 in if you really wanted to) without the motherboard being a bottleneck. The question is what card is a good fit for your CPU.
Unless you're running some multiple screen...
