Tom Wheeler has been the Chairman of the FCC for only a few weeks, but he’s made some bold moves for his short time in office. The latest involves telling wireless carriers to drop the locked phone requirement or have the FCC do it for them.
"It is now time for the industry to act voluntarily or for the FCC to regulate. Let's set a goal of including the full unlocking rights policy in the CTIA Consumer Code before the December holiday season."
