Same here.. just requested 2 more from 2 different addresses.

Hopefully its a weekend thing were it will wait till Monday to send it? hehe.. wishfull thinkin maybe.

I got my Product Key as soon as my payment was accepted. It's still downloading now.

Umm, I think it's a stupid question but I just want to confirm.

If I am purchasing 2 copies of Windows 8 Pro upgrade, on my 2nd copy, I just need the key right? The ISO would be identical right so I don't have to download another copy of Windows 8.

So I purchased a copy, received my key, and now it's downloading something completely at random. "Downloading Windows 8" doesn't mean a thing, is it going to be the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version, will I get to choose? The reason I ask is because i'm on 32 bit right now and I'd like to upgrade to 64 bit, I hope it's not going to 'auto-detect' my 32 bit version and then download a 32 bit version of Windows 8. Will the file simply be an image I can burn or is it going to go through some additional prompts and offer to install it for me? I'd rather have more control over this entire process.

I guess I'll see soon, 77% complete :p

No choice, it downloads the type you have. If you're running 32-bit, you'll get 32-bit so far as I understand it.

It should use the same ISO, no need to download it twice.

Well that's dumb. I should just be able to get the 64 bit ISO and use my key I assume. I better be able to, I didn't want to be locked into 32 bit.

If you're doing the full version you should be able to. But on an upgrade, you can't upgrade from 32-bit code to 64-bit code. That would be considered a full/fresh install.

I did a full install using this method on a pirated version of Win 7 and on a Laptop I bought last year. Both fresh installs and it worked great.

So yeah according to what I'm seeing, as well as other sources, you can't use the Upgrade Assistant to download the 64 bit version if you are on 32 bit. It will autodetect and install the 32 bit version only. I figured I would get an ISO to burn to a DVD or whatever and be able to choose from there. Just wasted $15

It is not the same ISO. Checksums from two copies that I've downloaded did not match. I have then requested other people checksums in another forum and they are all different. All comparing the same English 64bit version.
That said it will probably work installing from whatever ISO. I'm using the origina MSDNAA RTM ISO and the "upgrade" keys are installing and activating W8 in clean previously formatted HDDs.

So you mean that Windows 8 took your pirated key and gave you a legit download in $15, where you installed it fresh?

How you guys getting successful in obtaining more than one license? I bought one but need another & I keep getting this page after submitting my info. Anybody having same issues?

I get the same thing and I have yet to get one key successfully yet. Apparently you and I are the only ones with the problem...

I was also using a pirated windows 7. It worked perfectly. I bought windows 8 for $15.00 and burned the ISO used my windows 8 key and did a fresh/clean install and that was it.

As for the other questions about 32bit & 64bit. I did a full install/clean install and it auto detected 64 bit for me. I was not able to choose between 32 and 64

Can any of you who downloaded the 64 bit ISO from the "Upgrade Assistant" let me get it from you?

Don't be silly, you didn't waste $15, your key will still work with a 64-bit install; x86 & x64 keys have always been interchangeable. You just need to run the process again on a 64-bit system to get x64 media, or acquire it some other way. I'm sure they'll be all over the web soon but if you're leery of that you can just get someone you trust to burn you a copy, etc.

Yeah, hence my post just above yours :p

One of you one that validation page... what is the link for the Students?

At the bottom of your Validation page it says:

Are you a student, and do not have a product key on your COA? Click Here

What is that link? Is there a special for students?

I keep getting the CD key verification as well and I haven't even gotten a single key yet :( Looks like it is working for some people and not others...ahh well

Oh well...

thanks... I really didn't want to do this for $15 as it isn't exactly legal but wife has .edu email as she's a nursing student, so I wanted to go that route and keep it legal..

OP thanks for this! I was considering doing the $39 upgrade on my old c2d Vista 64 desktop, and for $15 it made the switch a no brainer. The code, download and install have all went smooth so far, nearly finished and ready to go I think.

I have no intentions of switching my gaming machine on Win 7 64. I'm prefectly happy with it as is, unless I just love 8 which I doubt.

Just installed mine over an existing win 7 install. Everything went well. Thanks for the deal OP.

So it's saying that 5 per consumer. Does it mean that I can use that key for 5 people lol?

Some people really shouldn't be a on a pc. Thanks

5, Meaning you can buy up to 5 keys per user. If not someone will buy a 100 and then put them on ebay.

Compared to Vista, I'd say yes. Just go jump on youtube for videos showing win7 vs. win8 boot times and other performance videos. Not sure if they have done Vista vs. 8, but if it beats 7 on spindles, it should beat Vista.

Mike, you were absolutely right....the thing screams now in comparison. Wow!

Just need to find the start menu mod to use until I decide to try metro haha. Whats everyone using? I read there was an open source option?

Got my first of three WMC keys today, went through the trouble of installing, and then figured out it records in some ridiculous format called WMT that's unplayable by the PS3. LOL. Back to NextPVR and normal .TS files. I guess. :(

StartIsBack is the only one that uses native start menu code left in explorer.exe. All the other start menu replacements are built replicas or ported from Win7 and have limitations.

just use metro, once you get used to it it is really nice. Stop thinking of metro as some problem and start thinking of it as just a REALLY big start menu that can fit alot more applications.

To me the lack of start menu complaining is weird, because it is coming from this forum where everyone should be able to figure it out. My big complaint with no start menu is that, on a touch screen without a mouse or dedicated windows button noobs are lost. But really you know what to do, take the mouse to the bottom corner.

looks like deal is dead, doesnt work anymore

I just ran it 2 min ago and it still works, got promo code, didn't ask for a Windows 7 CDKEY (of which I have plenty but whatev) and letting me buy for $15 so you must be doing something wrong.

You'll have to get more specific than "it doesnt work" in order to troubleshoot.

Can WMT be converted over to DVRMS? Thats what I had PS3MS playing through on W7.
I just installed nPVR for the first time and scanning for channels currently. Is nPVR any better than WMC?

I'm still waiting on my keys since about 9 or 10pm yesterday. Did it on 2 diff email accounts.

EDIT: I bought Start8, not bad at all, using it to close off Metro UI when it can. Metro UI isn't hard to understand but rather just annoying on a desktop for me. Too much flip flopping around.
