hi,

I have old Zotac 9300 ITX Wifi Motherboard.

Till now I was using E8400 CPU and everything worked fine, recently I decided to upgrade to Q9550s (65W version of Q9550) and my PC do not boot.
Sometimes (not always) after I reset PC with reset switch such screen appear: https://goo.gl/photos/diu7yTWtg2PdfEr97

Is there a way to make this board work with Q9550 ? I saw posts of people that got this MoBo working with Q9550.

Did you check the Zotac support page to see if that CPU is supported by the motherboard, and did you update to the latest UEFI?

Well, I would not count on it being supported unless specifically stated. Zotac is far behind the leading edge on 8 year old processors. (sarcasm)

Not sure which version of the board you have on the 9300 itx (there were 3 I think) but check out http://old.zotac.com/en/support/download.html
You can look to see which version of the bios you have on your board maybe with the old 8400 in there and cpu-z, then download the package and look at the change log to see if there is an update.

Also again I dont know the rev of the board you have but if you look here : http://old.zotac.com/en/products/ma...e/order/DESC/amount/10/section/downloads.html you can get the cpu test list which on this model : Core 2 Quad Q9550S 2.83GHz 45nm 65W is tested to work

I hope this helps :) Brings back memories of my first itx build many years ago

I ran a Xeon L5420 in one of these. You'd be better off using a Xeon with the 771 socket modification.
