Zotac 1050ti works vertical but not horizontal

OK, this is the weirdest issue that I've come across. I have a Zotac 1050ti ITX that works when the video card is vertical (and the motherboard is horizontal). But when the computer is put vertical and the card is heatsink side down, the computer does not see the card. Other cards work in the system fine, so it is not the motherboard. Any ideas about what components I should be looking at that are wonky?

Is it secure in the slot? It's powered strictly through the slot only so if it's hanging down and not making full contact it could cause issues?

Could also be a short between the heatsink and a part on the PCB? Rotation 90 degrees means heavy parts will lay in different directions.

Well, good news and bad news. I used my hot air station on the GPU and it seems to be working fine in any orientation now. The bad news is that I know this is not a long term fix.
