Znaps, Magnetic charging system

Not exactly sure about this cause Apple has some patents on this. I'm worried that they won't be allowed to ship.

P.S. I would love to have this, but backing it without knowing if they will even be allowed to ship is too big of a risk. We have the technology to do this for years, but Apple is a bitch.

This is exactly why it hasn't been done before. Both on mobile phones and on other laptops.
 
Okay, seem like they did answer some question about the patents in and FAQ:

Our patent lawyer did a patent search before we started the project. This is one of the reasons why we didn’t develop ZNAPS into a whole charging cable. We haven’t infringed on Apple's patent.

I like the idea, but would be annoyed at having to remove the adapter plug any time I wanted to connect my phone to a computer or car stereo.

You don't need to remove it...just stick a Znaps adapter on the end of the USB cable that you use with the computer or car stereo.
