Hello,
today I started to play with turning off cashe flush (vfs.zfs.cache_flush_disable=1) on my freenas box. I was quite dissapointed with the performance of six drives in stripe-mirror exported to a NFS share without separate zil.
Currently the cache_flush_disable option is turned on and the performance of random io under heavy load generated by multiple virtual machines is significantly higher however I cought more "odd things" than usual.
Java working in a virtual machine crashes more frequently and had a problem with some missing library objects in another one. Anyways, is it possible that cache_flush_disable affects data integrity of running virtual machines?
thx for any feedback
