Has anyone ever tried this? Do they fit? The reason i ask is because i purchased bioshock and my x850xt is pixel shader 2.0 which is not supported. So i may pick up one of these, but i have just recently purchased the vf700 for my x850xt..so yea.

I am sure you'll get a few of these responses....ROFLMAO! The VF700? On a 8800? That's some funny crap! The core of the 8800 series alone is approx. 2" x 2", much more than the VF700 can physically cover. Also, I seriously doubt the VF700's capability to cool an 8800 series card, or for that matter, a VF900 w/heatpipes.

On the serious side:

I would recommend you sell the VF700, either attached to the old card, or not. Even if you can get it mounted to a G80 (and that would take some handy work), I would not suggest you attempt to game on a G80 using a VF700, even if you do figure a way to get it mounted.

Yea, I guess i should just sell the x850xt with the vf700 and grab a 8800. But my brother told me something about a dx10.1 coming out which will not support 8800s. Have you guys heard anything of this?

not supporting the 8800's is a case of misinformation. However, there is word that DX10.1 will contain a feature set that is not supported by the 8800's. Kind of like the 3 revisions of DirectX9.0. Just because it was a DX9 card didn't mean that it could do 9.0c, same thing here.
