Zalman CPU fan connector only has 3 pins

Sorry for the noobish question,
While my Zalman 9500 have a 3-pin connector, the power for the cpu fan on the motherboard (Gigabyte EP45-UD3R) has 4-pins. Must I get a new cable or how else will I solve this?

Insert it into the four pin slot with the left most pin emtpy. That will be OK. If you wish you can insert it into another available 3 pin fan connector if it will reach, if not get an extension

SR45, Nice! I inserted it with the far left pin empty, if it's OK like you mentioned, this works great!
