Try MPC-HC with built-in DXVA acceleration or CoreAVC Professional 1.9.1 or better (if you have a CUDA-capable card) and ImgBurn for your burning needs.

Yea, there is quite a few better options than that Nero bloatware.
 
Add Revo Uninstaller to the list. I can't uninstall anything without it. So much crap is left over doing the old fashion way.
