What codec packs and such are you guys using? I went into the sticky and some of the links aren't working. I'm basically using thing for a DVD player so I'm trying to find everything good that I can. ati x800 pro and a x-fi sound card
 
Nvidia Purevideo dcoder for DVD playback
AC3Filter for sound
ffdshow for everything else
 
Halli splitter + PowerDVD for x264.
Vista premium and Ultimate include an Mpeg2 decoder
 
Nvidia Purevideo HD
CoreAVC
Haali Codec
Quicktime Alternative
Xvid
AC3 Filter
FFDshow

I use Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, and PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra.
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Plays every form of HD I throw at it, as well as standard def.

Same,except that I think I have QT Alternative and maybe Real Alternative. Does everything I need it to but I don't stray too far into the video world.
 
Media Player Classic w/ CoreAVC and FFDShow all the way.

PowerDVD if you're doing HD DVD or Blu Ray.
