^My little brother is getting one, and I am very jealous. I will be too, but I'll wait for generation2, and hope for Nvidia Optimus.
How do you like it so far?

My run of the mill HP NC6400. I have to use it since it's my work provided laptop from HP. It hasn't been bad but it hasn't been great either. It needs to be restarted way too often even with 3GB of RAM. It probably has the most to do with the host of crappy software they put on it.

Win XP
80GB HDD
3GB RAM

Sadly it doesn't have the discrete video. However, I'm thinking of ordering the discrete video mobo and heat sink.

Tale of two laptops: MacBook Pro unibody & HP Elitebook 6930p

The MBP is mine. Work outfitted the Elitebook with VPN and all the trimmings so I can work from home full-time. The MBP is clearly superior in build quality, screen, speed, appearance, etc. Still, the Elitebook is a nice "business class" laptop. I like it better than the Dell Latitude E6400 I tried several months ago. And, since it affords me the luxury of telecommuting, this HP has a special place in my heart. :p

Another half gig of DDR2, a 40GB X25-V, and a 6-cell battery would probably run you like $200-250... Kind of close to the cost of a whole new netbook at that point, 'course most of the investment would be due to the $120 X25-V which I think is well worth it even on a cheap netbook (see sig :D). Newegg recently had 'em on sale for $99, and Amazon had the Kingston branded version for an amazing $75 (which you can flash w/Intel's TRIM firmware if you jump thru some hoops)... Maybe you can catch another sale on 'em, tho I've also seen the 60GB OCZ Agility drives for as low as $130.

My new m11x. Have had it for about 2 weeks and absolutely love it. I am thinking about getting a mini pci-E SSD for teh WWAN slot and installing the OS on that.

Pardon the 'meh' picture quality. i am using my 5 year old camera.

Yea love mine too, but I would check out the forums over at NBR before trying to the SSD thing. From what i've read the pci-e slot can't be used with a drive. Sux cause I thought about doing that too.

Not the best picture (crappy cell phone cam) but...

toshibau205.jpg

Core 2 Duo T5500 @ 1.66 GHz, 1GB DDR2 533 (soon to be 4GB 667), 160GB 5400 rpm (soon to be a Hitachi 500GB 7200 rpm screamer), 12.1" WXGA screen (True-Brite and it's gorgeous), Windows 7 Pro, etc...

The best part? It cost me $80... ;)

A lot more crappy lappys than I expected

Ya know, I used to think this way. "What!? A computer guru using a 4-5 year old laptop?! I just don't get it!" But then I realized that the smart computer people will use their laptop for years on end till they REALLY need a new one. It's not always about having the latest and the greatest, but rather using what you have to the fullest.

*steps down from soap box*

Here are my 2 laptops:

15in 2.53ghz i5 Macboook Pro and a Gateway Lt2104u w/ 2gb ram running ubuntu 10.04:

A couple of weeks ago i bought a Sony netbook. Im very happy with it. Perfect netbook for my schoolwork. Battery life of 7 hours. Put in a stick of 2gb memory to boost the performance a bit.

Here's my HP DM3-1047NR Specs should be in the sig. Loving this laptop, it's great, even though the CPU isn't anything powerful and doesn't support VT it still gets the job done for me.
The pictures are mediocre, took them with my G2, in really bad lighting conditions.

Yes, it is the Business version of the TM2 . Better build quality, and it had the "i" series before the TM2
