Hey all,
Im going to be building a MYTHTV box and was wondering if this card would work for capturing:

Im on a low budget, I already have the ram, DVD burner, Hard Drive, Case

What i need is recomendations for:
Mobo/CPU Combo
Capture card

For motherboard/CPU combo- Asus 6150/X2 3800 <---Since they're so cheap now
Capture card- Happauge PVR150 or Nividia DualTuner

Your asking about linux and if an ATI card will work under it..... considering that the last time I checked the official ATI drivers didn't even support TV out on their video cards I'm going to say that that tuner isn't going to be supported either. Actually, I can tell you for sure that that card isn't supported (last time I bothered checking, it's an old POS tuner).

If you want to use linux then get a PVR150.

I'll echo everyone else's statements here: PVR150.

That being said, I have two PVR250's that I use. Basically it's a slightly older revision of the chipset in the PVR150.

Good luck with your MythTV build. Any idea what flavor of linux you're gonna use?
