Yes! Built the new system! (Question about...)

I usually install a single codec pack, used to be k-lite, but it installed conflicting subtitle programs... so I'd get overlapping subtitles >.<

Since I moved to Vista, I use the aptly named Vista Codec package. I haven't had any problems with playback or conflicts. I haven't tried CCCP but I don't want to mess around... once I find something that works, I usually just stick with it until it doesn't.
 
I'm sorry OP, this thread is going to go down hill like most.

Stick with what works, I hope I laid that out clearly enough. PM with any more questions.
