yea so i bought 2 sticks of 512 XMS PC3700PRO Corsair ram. Both sticks ended up being bad. One of the sticks wont even let my system boot up. The other stick causes random restarts. If i put both sticks in the motherboard so that the memory can run in dual channel mode, my computer just begins to laugh at me. I bought this memory from Outpost.com. Are they pretty good about returns? Anyway, just thought i would share.

what kind of mobo do you have. Are you sure the ram is supported by that mobo?
I mean I've never seen anyone getting two bad sticks in my life.

Could just be 2 faulty sticks, as I have a pair of 256 MB XMS3700 memory for my P4 system and they work great @ stock and will overclock all the way up to 250 MHz @ 3-4-4-8 with a little more voltage.

I've found that both modules will not run at DDR400 SPD timings without a little extra bump in voltage and will not start the system @ 2.5-3-3-7 at any DDR speed.

If you've got your old memory sticks still kicking around, pop one back in, change the memory timings to 3-4-4-8 @ 2.7V, shutdown, reinstall both XMS modules and try starting up.

If that doesn't help... could just be 2 faulty sticks.
