• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I think its funny how you allow a service like spambob to acces your forums but when it comes to Yahoo, you guys don't even support it!

Can you please stop that nonsense so I can get my real email in place....

spambob will be banned as well... free web-based create lots of spam...

Wow....non-sequitir much?

The reason that Yahoo was banned was because it was a problem. Thats how things work - if a free service comes above the radar for problems, it is banned. There are 487534979er different free webmail sites out there. The admins would go crazy trying to pre-emptively hunt them all down. The best approach is to ban these once they become a problem - many other large forums do this as well to cut down on all the free ipods, scammers, and goatse spammers.

QFT, Sorry to burst your bubble, but it comes down to this: ISP Email address or no forum account. You get no spam and can choose not to show it to anyone, so you really have no excuse.

All quite true. Gmail is also banned, but not until we had a large spam attack from several people who had made multiple accounts just for that purpose. Only when they become a problem are they put in the filter. Sorry for the inconvience, but that is the way things are.

well I kinda do. I create disposable email addresses (that end in @yahoo) for my main, @sbcglobal.net account. The reason I do this is because of filters so I can file the proper emails into the corresponding folders.

Whatever....I don't see why you can't just ban the spamming assholes, of course, almost everyone knowadays has dynamic ips..so w/e

With 40,000 members and 800-1000 users online at any given time, it's much easier to head them off at the pass by filtering out the most abused web based email accounts. The number of spammers and trouble makers who are removed daily without fanfare is quite high, so we still have to do it the old fashioned way, but just in less quantity than if we allowed multiple registrations from free email clients.

all right, I understand. Its just not a forum norm to disable popular email accounts. I don't plan to stay permanetly here, although everyone here is very helpful and have good information to give out.

All the high population forums I go to ban the basic free email services. Although I personally think the comment about ISP emails is a little to far.
