XP Themes

How do you get the XP Themes working .. i've downloaded it but only the icons seem to work :S the start menu still looks the same, any ideas.. cheers.
 
What program are you using, you say the icons work are you sure it wasn't just a icon pack and not a whole theme?
 
I used the uxtheme.dll hack. Then I go to Devianart to get any theme I choose. I dont like other programs running in the background just for a theme.
 
i used that didnt work so i got StyleXP i think its called made it work.. :D

heh tats what i did, although i had to reinstall, wont tell you what the hell i did wrong but it screwed up my network too

You must of had the earlier version. I remember that was a wide spread case. It should be fixed now. No problems yet. Just search google for uxtheme.dll hack and you will find it somewhere.
 
Yea must have been, but i got it working eventually, luckily didn't have any saved files as it was new and just installed so i didnt loose anything
