XP SP2 update makes IE dial out now. HELP!

XP SP2 update makes IE dial out now.

This is a dell notebook that was just updated via the net to SP2. The internet connection was/is broadband but now when I click my IE icon it envokes my modem. It never, never did this before. Within my internet options/connections it is already set to never dial a connection, but the darn thing does anyway.

What do I do to resolve this? Please help!

Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab -> Select "Never dial a connection".

All is well now, thanks for the advaice. I looked in Network Connections/advanced/dial-up preferences and unchecked autodial. I checked the other 2 pertinent boxes at the bottom, can't remember thier names now.
