XP: On Resume, Password Protect

So I am using of Windows XP Pro SP2 on my computer and decided to activate the "On Resume..." feature. Originally, it was "On Resume, Show Welcome Screen," but then I turned off the welcome screen itself to get the Windows 2000-style password window. The checkbox changed to "On Resume, Password Protect," which is what it was supposed to do. I then turned back on the welcome screen and fast user switching, and I read that the checkbox is supposed to switch back to "On Resume, How Welcome Screen," but it is staying at password protect.

How do I get the welcome screen on resume back?
