Whats the easiest way to prevent someone from clearing cookies and deleting temporary intrnet files?

We have a shared computer, and someone is obviously trying to cover his tracks. I don't care what sites he's on, but I am tired of having to log in to all of my sites every time.

Maybe even if there was a way to hide the control panel icon? That would even work.

If you are using XP Pro, you can use gpedit.msc to stop access to the IE tools panel. Not sure but you could also prevent someone from deleting files with this tool.

Aren't things like history and cookies unique on a per-user basis?

Yep. I'm guessing they are using the same login. My suggestion would be to setup a different login to make things easier.

If that's the case, I agree. It at least provides a certain degree of seperation between your usage habits and your friend's.
