XP Driver for 790GX

Does anyone know if there is an XP driver for the 790GX? I'm going to use the integrated video and want to make sure there is a video driver for XP. I'm about to order the BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX and need to know this last piece of info. Thanks.

I don't know the answer but you could try the BIOSTAR site...

Of course there is, XP is hardly too old to be supported. The latest Catalyst drivers detect it just fine. It's probably even on the disc that comes with it.

You should make a boot floppy and press F6 on setup to load the drivers if you are going to use AHCI with a SATA drive. That utility is on the CD that comes with the board

I have the Foxconn A7DA-S, 790GX chipset and a 4850. The link below : " ATI Catalyst™ 8.8 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition - Motherboard/IGP Drivers"

Works for me. Cat sees both cards and includes chipset drivers.

Thanks for the tip. If anyone else has any tips for the 790GX please let me know. This is my first AMD chipset motherboard. I used to use NVIDIA.

Give AMD Overdrive a go to adjust settings in Windows and monitor temps, etc. Here's the latest and 2.14 should be out in a week or so:
