xl-atx case recommendations

XL-ATX is taller than ATX, EATX is wider. You will need a case that has at least 9 expansion slots. Ones with 8 (pretty common) MAY work, but only if there is additional space below that last slot. That MB is 5 mm longer than an 8 slot setup.

Some options:
Corsair 750D, 760T/780T
Rosewill Thor V2
Phanteks Enthoo Elite
 
i like the last one but not the price but have about £400 left for a case if i get that mobo
 
I have the Rosewill Thor V2 and it works well for what it is. Definitely the cheapest option out of those listed above.
 
Corsair 1000D this is bout as good as it gets for Huge Monstrous cases until you get the really silly ones from CES 2019 like thermaltakes fishtank or that crazy cougar transforming case.

This is what i have currently but will be selling it as its too tall for me. caselabs is nice but well worth it if you need space and want a long term case, its sad to see them go out.

well i got it down to 2 that i like but both have problems but this will be air cooled until i can get a custom loop done for a 3970x

what i dont like is the view 91 has no way to hide the cables and has 2 rad mounts on the right hand side while makes no sense to me but not much to hide any cable routing other than that.

the 1000d is £100 more expensive has better cable management but comes with no fans and 1 controller.

rgb is not going to happen !
 
it has the commander pro which has rgb headers and temp senors i use 2 in my rig, plus a 10 fan controller all my fans running. 8 GTs uptop, 3 140 corsair mls up front 2 120 corsair MLS in the back, 2 on the Noctua, i prefer the least amount of rgb puke i can,
