Because I just built a new rig, but had to save a bit and use my roomates old 4850 and because I have used XFX cards in my last few builds for other people and they are awesome!
Oh, and I need a third "DO NOT DISTURB - I'M GAMING" door hanger. Had a bunch of friends over for an epic Everquest 2 weekend and actually hung one up on the apartment door...didn't work though! Dang census people came and still nocked on the door. The guys reaction was classic though, we opened the door and upon seeing 4 people at a table with 4 computers and one guy on a recliner in the kitchen with his laptop says, "Oh my, you guys ARE playing games?" They all just said, "Yep" and kept playing!
Here is what I would love to be driving:
This is what I actually drive:
2008 Kia Spectra5 - nice little "hot hacthback" as Jezza would say.
Besides having the coolest looking name of any graphics card manufacturer (XFX) I like their warranty. I'm afraid to post a picture of what I walk around on as I do a lot of hiking and the latest video cards soon might start supporting smell too
I've been a fan of XFX for a while, I love the XXX Editions, the Black Editions, and of course, the double lifetime warranty on their graphics boards. I really like the designs of the coolers, and the fact that they not only don't discourage overclocking, but that they encourage it!
At this point my last 4 cards have been xfx just because of the consistently better reviews than other manufacturers and the double warranty which makes selling my old cards easier to fuel my addicti...errr...legitimate need for upgrades.
The 6990 offers a more compact alternative to dual-card crossfire at a fair price while still giving you the option of closely matching dual-card crossfire's performance.
