XFX Double Dissipation Radeon R9 290X $249.99 AR

One of the better deals I've seen for a new card in terms of bang/buck.

I have an R9, 290.
If I snag this, I should be able to run the R9 290x alone for most games & then crossfire them up for newer games, right?

My monitor res is 1680x1050 but will be moving to 2560x1440 probably in the next 12 months.

You could... but why? The difference between the 290, and 290x is pretty small. You'd be better off just to get a 290 from the forums, and crossfire it.

I don't buy from the forums. Too many bad experiences.

The lowest I have seen the XFX 290 with deals was $239 AR, so for $10 more you get a 290X....

Its too bad these are 4GB, doesn't do much good at 4k.

Neither does the 8GB 390X as it doesn't have enough GPU power to handle 4K at high frame rates with the quality that would require 8GB. Overall, a solid card for the price.

I should have replied to the above posters, I meant for xfire...
