I hope I'm writing in the right forum and that I'm not asking a 1000 times already asked question
I'm buying a new server for ESXi and in it, I will be running 2 VM. One will be CentOS with LDAP and radius for wireless authentication and the second one will be windows 2008 or 2003(I'm not sure, what we have available).
Currectly I'm looking at HP DL180G6 with either E6506 or 6520 CPU with 8GB memory and 2x250GB hard drives. The E6506 is about 400 cheaper then the E6520.
Do you think E6506 will serve good enough? I don't think there will be much load on the server, since the company is quite small(around 20 PC's) and the wlan radius won't be busy either, about 5-10 auth. checks per day...
