xeon cooling closed loop water?

building a dev rig with used dual 20 core e5 v4 135w xeons. This will be used with very heavy virtual machines (to simulate production environments) so it will get pushed almost nonstop 24/7. I've had a lot of success with closed loop water cooling on gaming rigs but have never tried it on a xeon server.

has anyone done this successfully? any recommendations for water coolers? I'm assuming I will use a server tower cases with plenty of room for the cooler.

It'll work fine. Just get a big case and go for coolers with bigger rads.
