Xbox with Kinect: 4Gb or 250GB model?

I want to buy us a new or used Xbox, but I don't know whether to get the 4GB model or the 250GB model. I don't really care to download movies etc on it. It will be used just for gaming. I also understand I could buy the 4GB and add a HD to it later, correct? What kind of HD? 2.5"? I have access to as many 2.5" or 3.5" HD's as I want, for almost no cost, so that's not a problem. I'm a computer technician so i have no problem installing a HD. Which way would you go? The 4GB model is a lot cheaper.
 
get the 250.. unless you are going to use the Kinect (don't get me wrong it's great for voice commands when you are lazy) religiously and dance alot it's not worth it.
 
You can use any WD Scorpio HDD 120/250/320gig HD you can find, and it's a quick search, a download and a drive mod away from a cheaper method to a HD enabled XBox360. I got mine for $55 + $10 more on ebay for an xbox 360 hdd case.

Not worth it at all considering the 250 GB bundle with 2 games is 199 now.
 
yup. i agree. getting the hard drive one is the way to go.. You can always try to pick up the kinect for a deal later.

Terrible idea. Its like renting to own with appliances.

Do the math.
Subscription
$150 for console
+ $360 ($15 x 24 months for Xbox Live)
= $510

2 years of xbox live is only $120 at regular price, but you can often find prepaid cards for $35.

Buying out right
$350 for kinect 250gb holiday bundle
+$120 for 2 years of Xbox Live
= $470 ($420 if you can get a deal on Xbox live)
 
Just buy the 250gb bundle and kinect seperate that is the cheaper way, that is 199.99+99.99, the kinect 4gb bundle is 249.99 then add the hard drive, that's more money. even if you went with the home made hard drive which is not worth it that would be more. And in the 199 bundle you get forza4 (great game) and sky rim.
