I was looking into this before but doesn't that block off one side of the vents for the Xbone?

I plan on getting one once its in stock. I wouldn't worry much about the ventilation on the left side. As stated before the right side is where most of the heat is generated and ventilated. I like how it blends and looks like it supposed to be there. I really like the front USB ports, makes it easier to update controllers for me.

With Xbox one supporting 30+TB external this seems silly for this system. Just buy a good large capacity usb3 drive I'm using 3.5 7200rpm external storage.

Look at what you can get

That thing is 40 plus how much for a 2 tb external ?

That is a good option and I considered doing the same. But whats nice about this solution is that its all in one. You don't need to worry about an additional power source. This gives a nice clean look for the person doesn't want an external hard drive next to their xbox one.

You know, I was going to poopoo this peripheral, but then I clicked on the link and it took me a few seconds to even find the HDD on the Xbone! That's a clean look, and the front USB ports could definitely come in handy.

Still, any kind of add-on that could potentially mess up the cooling on a dedicated games console scares me, and I'd probably err on the side of caution and wait a few months to see how if there are any reported failures issues with it.

This IS just a USB3 drive enclosure, it's just themed to look like the Xbox One.

I'm pretty sure I understand that. I still prefer have my raid enclosure plugged in the back its hidden and doesn't add width or block cooling or draw its power from the system. Sure some will love this but I don't like being limited to laptop drives.

I have all digital and that doesn't allow enough storage.

Not really knocking it there are better ways to add storage

I'm adding this to my ps4 http://nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=Data+Bank+for+PS4
Since Sony can't be bothered to add external storage.

Ok that looks respectable. Kudos to the design team, but 2.5"? It's almost defeating the purpose. I'm with Svt on this one. I'd much rather get an external enclosure and tuck it away.
