XBOX ONE CONTROLLER ON WINDOWS XP

Well, after giving up on the xp x64 endeavor I'm back with another problem. I want to get my xbox one
controller working on xp. It will install through Bluetooth, and it even shows up in the controller panel. It
shows the layout of the controller, but then it disappears and says there is a problem connecting to the
controller. So, that leads me back to here again, looking for a solution.

Are you running XP SP1 or later? Unless I am mistaken, that is where 'XInput' auto recognize was first introduced.

Yes, seriously. XP for the win. Yes, I am running sp3, and it will see the controller and all the button configurations,
just when I click on it to test the settings, it just disappears from the controller section, then I have to pair it all over
again, and that is the loop cycle.
