I can't seem to access my videos/music/etc through xbox 360's media center feature. I have both my computer and xbox connected through my router. They both have internet but when i go to add the extender it says it cannot find my xbox. All my share settings are on. Can anyone help me?

Make sure there are no firewalls between the two, and that they both are getting an IP address on the same network. Once that is done, go to the xbox and start media center -- it will give you a number. Then go to your media center PC and choose to add an extender -- enter that number. You should be good to go.

If you still aren't working start troubleshooting it as a network issue until your are very sure that it is not one.

my windows firewall is off and my router firewall is off...

my router is a dynex wireless. But i am plugged in with wires.

I even see the xbox in the network tab.
