I finally got my cable in the mail, and hooked my 360 up to my FW900 to see how much better it would be than my 22" old Philips crt television. While I like the resolution, I had a headache after about two minutes because of the ghastly 60Hz refresh rate! Is there any way to change it? At this point it's more enjoyable at 480 on my old tv! :(

i dont think so since xbox is ment for tv's mostly which if there doing HD are gonna be a LCD which is 59-60hz

Nearly all LCDs are capped at 60hz I'm confused how you see any flicker at all to begin with.

The Sony GDM-FW900 is a flat CRT, which is the crucial detail that the OP left out.

In any event, no, there's no way to change the refresh rate.

No it will never give you more than 60hz. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy a 360 at launch and waited so long so I could buy an LCD TV. I eventually ended up getting a ps3 though, heh.
