XBMC + Steam Big Screen Mode (and Skype)

Has anyone had any success in getting these two to play together? I currently use Advanced Launcher to launch my steam games but it is a huge PITA in setting them up properly. I am a huge advocate of the wife approval rating in ease of use, so it is important that "it just works".

Switching between XBMC and WMC is pretty straight forward with the plugin.

- Easy solution for Steam BP and XBMC
- Integrate Skype into the HTPC in some fashion without having to use a Keyboard/Mouse.

The skype question has been around for years, and I had hoped MS would have added support in future revisions of WMC but w/e.
