X58 boards and 3.99 GB RAM

Where is the thread about this problem?

I saw it a while back.

All of a sudden tonight my Classified only registers 3.99 GB useable RAM??

I'm confused. i have 6GB RAM and x64 W7.

Adjustments in the BIOS do nothing for me......arrrrgh.

Reseat your DIMMS, then try them in different slots.

Try 1 or 2, see if that works fine. Check for possible tension your HSF mounting might cause on the board etc etc etc.

I get that once every few months, a reboot or CMOS clear usually fixes it right now. Try a ECDI refresh. Force it to refresh on next boot. Should be near the IRQ settings. Once I did that I dont see it till I change something in my hardware setup.
