or is a windowed 3d app not good enough to force it over?

it insists on running 500/1100 instead of 650/2000 when I start a game. the stupid service is running, but it doesn't matter. if i try to kill it and force it to those clocks myself, locks up.

Same here.. appears that when I run older games like UT99, the clocks are still in 2D mode. Perhaps the clock goes up when ATI detects that more than 50 or 60% of the shaders are being utilized?

Actually, the clocks go up for the first 5 seconds or so, and then go back to 2D mode maybe because it realizes that full 3D mode is not needed?

so I just said F it.

jumped voltage to it's 3d 1.425
jump clocks up to 650/2000

works fine. temps no different really.

only problem is, ati tray tools fan control mysteriously stopped working. i guess 70-80c isn't really bad for this card, but I like it better when it was at 50.

if it isn't one problem, it's another. :(

atleast performance is up up up
