I have an NFR copy of Vista Ultimate 64-bit I'd trade for that HDD. Never been used or activated. If you wouldn't mind a NFR (Not For Resale) copy, it's the same as any other Vista Ultimate. Let me know.

Why not give windows 7 beta x64 a try until August 1st, then buy windows 7 when it comes out? Hopefully before August first...

I don't know, it sounds like a good idea. But I'm just worried about it being compatible with my new X58 hardware and GTX 285 SLI setup, I don't want any problems. I know Vista x64 can handle it, is W7 Beta x64 guaranteed to work?

No, but you wouldn't be out anything. I've found that Win7 is VERY compatible, and can use Vista drivers just fine. It uses the Vista kernel, so if it works with Vista, it is 99% sure to work with 7.

Just keep your important stuff on a different drive or partition, as you will need to reinstall a new RC or final after August 1st.

Well in that case having both doesn't hurt, I can dual boot a solid Vista and a beta 7 on the other partition, so I will go both ways
