I swear I cannot get the primary game I play (CS:GO) to run as well on my 970 as it did on my 780. I do play other demanding stuff as well and at 1440p, so I benefit at least somewhat from more than 3gb vram. Anyway!

Would like to buy a 6gb Titan. I have an excellent OCing MSI Gaming 970 that I can include in a trade. Let me know what you have. Thanks!

I wasn't aware of any 6gb 780's. And there's something about the way boost or power management works on Maxwell that just kills my performance in CS:GO. I could probably fix the issue with a bios flash or something.

I used to get a pretty dang steady 300fps in CS:GO with my 780 and now I get constant fluctuation between 150-300 with my 970. I don't think a 980 would make any difference.

It was shortlived. 3 months prior to 970 released. I'm currently selling one (but it is pending).
They are around 300 buy it now and bids are going for 260 ish will be way cheaper than a Titan

How many fps are you getting right now (I would think a 970 can play csgo at your rez at or above 120 fps)? It doesn't make any sense that your 780 outperformed your 970 as the 970 should be faster.

There also is a small possibility that you are cpu limited, not gpu limited. Maybe your 970 isn't playing nice with your x58 chipset?

Yea I get between 150-300 fps with the 970 and the fluctuation all seems to be caused by the ever changing voltage and clock speeds where the 780 just held 300 much better.

I very well may be cpu limited. I'm planning on switching to an x99 setup eventually I was just hoping to wait for ddr4 prices to come down a bit.
