My old PSP finally seems to have died Put it in a drawer working fine a few months ago and now after charging with multiple batteries it won't turn on.

Soooo maybe I'll upgrade to a Vita. Will definitely have to be home-brewable (great if its already installed). Looks like all software versions are hackable now?

I don't really know what they should cost (Ebay is $80 - $300), or which version I'm interested in yet so just shoot me an offer you think is reasonable.
