WTB: GTX 1070, 1080 or RX5700

Looking to spend ~$170 shipped on a 1070, or ~$220 shipped for a 1080 or RX5700

Would consider other cards with similar performance depending on pricing.

Best of luck to you but I think prices are a bit on the low side.

I would have agreed 6 months ago; but with prices the way they are now on new stuff, anything more than that just isn't worth it. New 5700's hit sales at $279 pretty frequently and are around 15% faster than the 1080 (and ~35% faster than 1070) which I've been seeing regularly at 280-300 (200 for 1070s) used, it's pretty insane imo.

Also, up.

Are you saying you are seeing 1080's for 280-300 but then are asking someone to come down to 220?

That's my entire point, you're a bit low. Maybe you'll get someone that's feeling generous I suppose, but that'd be luck. I replied because I have a 1080 for sale, but I'd throw it up on eBay before I sell it here for $220 - $15 shipping, netting ~$205.

Again, best of luck.

You're correct; to reiterate more clearly, why would anyone pay 280-300 for a 1080 that is used (under unknown circumstances), is likely out of (or has no transferable) warranty, and performs ~15 percent lower than a 5700 for the same price as a new 5700 (which again are selling at $280 shipped regularly). If people are indeed buying 1080's at that price, it's silly, but I can't personally justify spending anything more than $220-230 on one given the circumstances mentioned. In addition to those circumstances, the 5600XT is set to drop in a few weeks, which is poised to perform at the 1080 level in the $240 range; we'll have to actually wait and see because the 5500XT was a disappointment, but here's hoping! I do appreciate the input though :)

New Year Bump

I think if you wait a bit you'll get your sale, takes a few months for the new hardware to drive down used prices it seems. Especially the 1070 which I really do think is only worth around $175 right now. 980Ti can be OCed to match up with a 1070Ti and can be had for under $150 easily now if you really want insane performance per dollar... I wouldn't pay upwards of $300 for a 1080 (or vega 64) now either.

I have an Asus STRIX 1080 GTX for sale.

STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING

I will take $275 shipped.
