Heat in sig

finishing up a build for a family member in need.

I gave him a 2011 monitor that has the capability of 1440p via DisplayPort.

Im using IGP on a cheap motherboard that doesn’t have DP.

just need a low profile gpu with dp out. Not for gaming.

needs to be as super cheap as possible.

PM me if you have something.


This is the last part I need. If I can’t find one he can do 1080p over single link dvi I suppose. The text just looks kind of blurry.

And I researched this as well, but it seems as recent as Jan of 2018 there wasn't a hdmi to dp adapter that did better than 1080p, and this would assume that there is an hdmi port on the motherboard.

Can't use an HDMI cable and insert the dp end into the monitor? As for the 1080 thing I didn't look and it does say 1920x1080 max.
