WTB: D&D 4th Edition Books

I'm trying to help a friend kickstart his way into D&D but he doesn't have much cash (eg, can't just buy on Amazon). We're playing with 4E rules, so he'd like to focus on 4E books.

Side note - have you checked a local gaming store's used games bin, or the used on amazon? I've seen quite a few for sub $10.

I did check our two local game stores (Broomfield, CO) and one didn't have anything older than 5E and the other didn't sell used at all.

blech...4E. Still rocking 3.5E/Pathfinder here. No plans to change.
